I didn’t have KFC and Burger And Lobster going at it on my 2024 Bingo card – mainly because they’re both chiefly concerned with completely different food types – but it turns out that KFC were royally miffed about the Burger And Lobster bucket that we were recently invited down to try.

The B & L bucket comes with fresh original recipe Atlantic 1.25lb lobsters, alongside four claws, half a pound of whole prawns and unlimited fries and their creamy lemon and garlic butter, costing just £95 for two people. KFC’s beef comes with the fact that they described it as a bucket and quite clearly ripped off their bucket design too. Hell, we even described it as a KFC style bucket in our original article.

So maybe we’re partly to blame for KFC coming out all guns blazing at Burger And Lobster after the bucket went viral and B & L’s subsequent cheeky response. The umlimited bucket was only meant to be a limited edition six week summer promotion, but after its success over this period, the restaurant has decided to extend the offer until the end of August – with one slight difference:

Yes, the unlimited bucket will now be called ‘This Is Not A Bucket’ have the Colonel got a bit upset about the bucket resembling KFC’s signature chicken containers. Everything else is exactly the same and I’m sure KFC won’t get even more butthurt about the fact that it definitely still is a bucket despite its name. No, can’t see Sanders losing the plot even more over that can you?
