The KFC Double Down was the stuff of legend and many, many of us were stoked to see it finally reappear in our own beloved chicken restaurants this summer, but what if that concept could be made even better?

Burger and Lobster – who I remember being kinda massive about five years ago but don’t seem to hear so much about these days – are an established name in the lobster and burger scene, so it makes sense that they would be the first to come up with their own signature version of the Double Down – the Double Drown. The burger is pretty much what I imagine that you think it is if your’e familiar with the Double Down and imagine a lobster version of it: two steamed lobster tails, sourced off the coast of Canada in Novia Scotia, with thick cut, smokey pork nestled in-between and topped with cheese.
Take a look at this:
Mmmm. To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of lobster so I might not be as stoked as some people about this, but I’ve gotta admit that it’s a pretty sick concept and I’d be willing to try it but I think the price is gonna put a lot of people off, myself included.
The Double Drown is only going to be available at Harvey Nicholls (you can see where this is going already) and is gonna be priced at £47.10. If you want a flute of champagne and some thinly sliced potatoes (that’s their words not mine), then that’ll cost you an extra tenner. The best things in life don’t come for free do they baby?
It’s limited edition and first come, first serve, so if you do want if you better be quick. If not why don’t you try the vegan Double Down? That’ll be around forever.
