If you (like most people) loved Power Rangers as a kid and loved Breaking Bad as an adult, you’ll be excited to hear that the two will be (sort of) merging as Bryan Cranston has confirmed he’s signed on to play Zordon in the Power Rangers movie reboot.

Zordon is of course the giant floating head created and mentors the Power Rangers, who will apparently be played by “relatively unknown and up-and-coming actors.”

Here’s some trivia for you – Cranston actually voiced some of the monsters on the original Power Rangers TV show in his pre- Walter White days.
Remember Snizzard?
Yep, that’s Bryan fucking Cranston.
Excited to play #Zordon in the #PowerRangersMovie! T or F: #BlueRanger Billy Cranston was named after what actor? https://t.co/d3ltjpcDKb

This news bodes well for the Power Rangers movie in general I reckon. After all I don’t think Bryan Cranston would attach himself to a movie he thinks is going to flop, considering he can probably play in anything he wants these days.
Not to mention Elizabeth Banks is playing Rita Replusa, and Banks is no slouch either:
