Everyone loves Bruce Springsteen right? The Streets of Philadelphia, Born to Run, Born in the U.S.A. and so many others – the guy has got a shedload of hits, that’s for sure. But have you ever wondered what Bruce Springsteen’s answerphone message might sound like? I’ve never had the privilege of calling The Boss up – I think I’ve got his number lying around somewhere but I’ve never had the need to call him – so it hadn’t really been something that had ever crossed my mind either. But when America’s favourite shock jock Howard Stern got his hands on it, he just had to play it. He even featured it in this interview with Bruce Springsteen’s former saxophonist Clarence Clemons (now sadly deceased) to prove its authenticity.
