Britney Spears has been allegedly slapped across the face by a member of Viktor Wembanyama’s security detail after she tapped the NBA star on the shoulder to ask for his picture in Las Vegas.
According to TMZ, the moment Spears put her hand on the 7-foot-4 rookie, the security guard ‘backhanded her in the face, knocking her to the ground and her glasses off her face.’ Which seems like a pretty OTT reaction to a little 5’3 blond lady invading your client’s space a little bit.
In fairness to the guy, working security for a guy as big and tall as Viktor Wembanyama must be quite the challenge. Think about it – the guy is a famous 7-foot-4 basketball player. He literally cannot go anywhere on the planet without drawing attention to himself. Even people who have no idea who he is will stop and stare at the sheer size of him. I mean look at the guy FFS:

Even still, like I said, you can’t just be blindly smacking women across the face every time they try to approach him. And definitely not when that woman is Britney Spears! Who, sure enough, has filed an incident report to police. This, reportedly, after the security guard found her afterwards and apologised.
So I guess there’s one p45 coming up, or maybe Viktor Wembanyama can invite Britney to a San Antonio Spurs game for a proper meet and greet to make up for it. She hasn’t freaked out about the incident live on Instagram yet, so that’s promising.
