A British tourist has been killed in Bangkok, Thailand, after being turned away from the 91karaoke bar, where he apparently got on the bouncers’ nerves and was chased down by them on a motorcycle.

Nick Weir, 28, was said to have been ‘behaving erratically’ when he was denied entry into the venue. CCTV footage shows him running down the street, when two bouncers pull up beside him and the tragedy unfolds…

There is some debate as to what made things turn physical. Well, another clip from another angle shows Nick attempting to steal the bouncer’s motorbike, and it just escalates from there…

It’s hard to say from either video how Nick was killed exactly, but the bouncers were on top of him for over 10 minutes so it’s possible they George Floyd’d him, rather than actually beat him to death.

Either way, it’s just such a tragic and totally unnecessary death. You have to guess that Nick Weir was on drugs or had some kind of mental break because you’re obviously not in your right mind when you try to steal a Thai bouncer’s bike.

We do need to know, though – why were the bouncers chasing him from the venue in the first place? There was probably no obligation to do so, and it resulted in a needless death.

For what it’s worth, Thai police are now questioning the two bouncers, named Phurinat, 32, and Boonchou, 29 over the attack. Something tells me they won’t exactly have the book thrown at them.
