From what we’ve seen on the internet over the last decade or so, Brazil is not the place to be robbing folks on the street. It’s a country that seems particularly keen on vigilante/street justice, and also happens to have one of the highest phone theft rates in the world.

Brutal stuff. Now of course this isn’t recommended in the UK because things work a little differently here and you’d end up being arrested and charged with GBH, and then the police would give the thief a kiss & a cuddle as well. Over in Brazil, it appears you can lob a chair at a phone thief and brutalise them in the middle of the street and the police turn a blind eye to it! What can you say really? They’re a population that’s well and truly fed up with crime.
Big up the MVP who lobbed the chair and caused the thief to drop the phone, but the best part has to be the guy in the white apron who runs out like he’s been waiting for this moment his entire life. He was just looking for someone to kick! I had to watch it 4/5 times to figure out how he knew about the situation but I really think he had no idea what was going on but got involved anyway. That’s just how they do it over there I suppose.
