Absolute howler. That’s just a sure-fire way to find yourself sleeping on the couch. I mean it’s hard enough grinding away in the lower leagues of Brazilian football and trying to make a name for yourself in the football world. Now he’s got to deal with his girlfriend giving him the third degree when he gets back home and stay in the dog house for the next few days/weeks/months.
He better have a good story ready for when he gets home because I’ve got a feeling an apology just isn’t gonna cut it. Maybe tell her that the girl he mentioned is one of the coaching staff or something who helps the team train for games? But then what if his girlfriend asks to meet her and she doesn’t have the right name? I don’t know, just throwing out ideas here, but he’s definitely going to have to think of something.
