Vinicius Jr saw his Brazil press conference at the World Cup interrupted by a cat earlier, which was a nice wholesome moment for everyone involved. Well, until a Brazil official felt the urge to first nicely pet the cat, and then lift it by its fur and throw it onto the ground:

Well apparently this isn’t the approved way of handling cats because the whole room collectively gasped in horror. I’m not sure if it actually hurts to lift a cat up like that, but it definitely doesn’t look like fun:
Some people are acting like the guy straight up Kurt Zouma’d the cat whereas others claim this is the safest way to lift a stray (if it even is a stray) if you don’t want to get scratched and bitten. All that matters in the end though is that the cat’s going to be OK. It’s coming home!
