In news that will probably make you laugh at how badly the UK has handled the Coronavirus situation so far – stuttering into lockdown way later and more hesitantly than it clearly should have done – our own Prime Minister Boris Johnson has now tested positive for the virus.

Johnson is said to be suffering mild symptoms and will self isolate himself in Downing Street, whilst still continuing to lead the government’s handling of the crisis via video conference. The Prime Minister released the following video message confirming the news:
Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus.
I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus.

Lol? I mean it’s kind of a joke that the man in charge of the whole nation at this point can’t even manage to follow his own rules and not contract the virus, but I guess that’s just where we are at this point in time. You couldn’t make it up.
Hopefully Boris is OK – and it sounds like he will be judging from that statement – but I suppose we really have to worry about all the other politicians that he’s come into contact with in last week or so as well now. Would probably be useful to try and figure out who he caught it off as well.
I guess this is another massive indicator of just how badly the country has behaved and how far spreading the virus has now become, unbeknownst to most of us who can’t afford tests. It’s gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets better.
