Boris Johnson has been enjoying the last few weeks of his tenure as Prime Minister by going on as many holidays as possible, but he returned today to make a statement about as ridiculous as most of the rest of his time in the top office.

As we are all well aware, energy prices are blowing up and are going to continue to spiral out of control over the next year with many people looking to the government for help or advice on how to deal with this as it’s literally going to bankrupt a large portion of the population. Thankfully Boris Johnson has stepped up and told us all to replace our old kettles with a new one – it might cost £20, but you’ll save £10 a year thanks to its energy efficiency:

OK, so that clip is obviously edited to make Boris Johnson look as stupid as possible, but even so for him to be saying something like that shows that he doesn’t really understand or care about the problem whatsoever. You can even kinda see when he’s reading it that he can’t believe the drivel that’s been placed in front of him because it’s such a ridiculously dumb thing for him to be saying.

That also implies that he hadn’t even bothered to read it before he started making the speech, but I suppose that shouldn’t really surprise anyone either. Good riddance. Can’t wait for Liz Truss to screw things up even more in the near future – only a week to go.
