Skateboarding is a hard enough sport as it is, but imagine trying to do it blind. It would take some serious dedication and that is exactly what skateboarder Dan Mancina does every time he steps out and onto a board.

In a recent interview with Jenkem Magazine, Dan discusses his visual condition Retinitis Pigmentosa, a hereditary degenerative eye disease, as well as the approach he has developed to skateboarding as a result of this. He now uses an extended walking stick and sound to assist his shredding. It’s incredibly admirable that Dan overcame his struggle and as you can see in the video below, he probably skates even better than you do:
It’s incredibly genius how he uses the beeper to figure out how to grind and jump. This guy is an inspiration to us all – if you ever feel like giving up, just think of Dan Mancina and his determination.
