Blind Bulgarian mystic Baba Vanga has a whole load of followers who claim she predicted 9/11, the rise of ISIS, the 2004 tsunami, Brexit, Chernobyl, and that a black man would become US President. Vanga actually died in 1996 — over 25 years ago — but it’s said she predicted all those things before she passed.

Normally I would just dismiss this sort of thing straight away, but Baba Vanga was 85 years old, Bulgarian and blind – which are 3 things you would expect someone who can predict the future to be.

So it’s at least worth considering her top four predictions for 2024, which are as follows:

1) Putin will be assassinated

2) Terrorist attacks in Europe will increase

3) A ‘big country’ will conduct biological weapon tests or attacks

4) A major economic crisis

Well, not quite as bold as her past predictions, except maybe for number 1, but as any mystic worth their salt will tell you, you can’t go big every time. Especially when you’ve made predictions for every year up until 5079, which is exactly what Baba Vanga has done.

After all, she didn’t exactly get her main 2023 prediction correct. According to Sky History, Baba claimed that a solar storm with devastating consequences would hit the earth this year. Although in fairness, there’s still one month of 2023 to go, and this came up when I Googled it:

Does Baba Vanga have special future-telling abilities? Is she full of crap? Is a broken clock correct twice a day? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
