We’ve featured weird movie posters from Ghana before – where the artists often failed to accurately represent the movie at all – but it turns out that this is true of many other countries in the world, including Poland back in the Communist era.
During this time, Polish cinemas would just receive a copy of the movie itself and none of the promotional material that would normally accompany it. As such, artists were forced to come up with their own interpretations of the movie, often without even having seen the movie itself. As you might expect, some of the results are a little out there.
It’s Saving Private Ryan up top in case you hadn’t figured it out.
