Hardly anyone I know bothers to drive around London because it’s an absolute nightmare as there’s nowhere to park, the traffic is completely insane and public transport is so prevalent that it doesn’t really make any sense for you to do so anyway – but if for some reason you are a London driver, then maybe you want to buy this extremely bizarre and inconvenient parking space for £85,000.

The space is located at a small garage near Harrods and would probably never be a good idea at that price, but it’s made even worse by the fact that it’s just two metres wide. The average car is only 1.82 metres wide, so basically you’re gonna have a whole load of trouble getting out of your car once you’ve parked in the space. I think the pictures probably illustrate that pretty well.

Anyway, you’ll almost certainly need a convertible to get into the space, but I suppose if you’re spunking £85,000 on a parking space then you’ll probably have access to one of those kinds of vehicles anyway. Here’s the Rightmove listing:

A single allocated parking space within a small garage which is sandwiched between Rutland Gate and Ennismore Mews.

With two automated gates operated by fobs, and CCTV the garage is considered to be very secure. It also benefits from access to water and is close to Knightsbridge station.

That’s great that it has access to water – that’s just what everyone needs from a parking space, right? Especially if you’re probably going to be living in it as you can’t physically get out of your car – and I suppose it’s also cool that you’re near Knightsbridge because you can also get out of your car and jump on the tube like a normal Londoner. Probably the best deal that you’ll ever make if you’ve got a spare £85,000 in your pocket. Think about it.

For more of the same, check out this woman taking seven minutes to reverse out of a parking space. Awkward.
