You wouldn’t really expect an iconic franchise like Beverly Hills Cop to return as a Netflix production after all these years, but we’ll take what we can get when it comes to Eddie Murphy reprising his role as the legendary Axel Foley.

Love it, but damn does everyone look old! I guess we’re supposed to believe that none of these guys got promoted or changed roles whatsoever in the 30 years since the last Beverly Hills Cop movie. I mean, 40+ years working as a cop in California? They’ve got to be on some serious pensions.

Anyway, we all want this to be good and will be hoping that it delivers when it drops next year. Pretty low stakes to watch it from our couches at home, so maybe it’s a good thing that it’s arriving on Netflix after all.
