To commemorate the upcoming HD remastering of The Wire – arguably the finest television series ever and somehow even better when remade in LEGO – Baltimore Sun journalist Justin Fenton travelled around the city taking photographs of some of the series’ most iconic locations as they appear now and comparing them with how they appeared in the show.

Surprisingly, not much as changed in the city despite the success of The Wire. I guess McNulty and Lester Freamon’s efforts were all for nothing. Some spoilers are featured if you’re one of those unlucky people that still hasn’t managed to catch up with The Wire.
