So all’s well that ends well yeah? Well, no. They had to kill the bears to do an autopsy and check what their injuries were like. So Yogi and his buds were sacrificed for the greater good of  humans in an imaginary war. I expect that they’ve helped save many a pilot’s life since then though. That’s little consolation to them I fear. But that’s how us humans got so darned good at dangerous things, we sacrificed some animals so we could progress. And when you think of the billions of cows we are slaughter each year, a handful of bears ain’t so bad.
