Banksy won The Webby’s 18th annual award for ‘Person Of The Year’ and submitted this video for his acceptance speech (well I mean he wasn’t going to show up in person to collect it, was he?) which described his time in New York last year when he took up a 30 day residency in New York showcasing his unique street art.
Unfortunately (or probably exactly what Banksy wanted) it pretty much turned into a city-wide game of hide and seek as young artists and teenagers in the city tried to track him down to unveil his true identity. Obviously, they didn’t succeed but this video showcases that process and some of the great street art that he produced during his residency.
