Everyone loves TV shows, and if you make your way through the entirety of a series then you’ll feel like you’ve been on a journey with the characters and hopefully seen them grow and change in ways that you couldn’t have possibly imagined when you watched the first episode. This fan made movie puts that theory to the test, comparing the first and last shots of some of your favourite TV shows. Spoilers obviously.

The following shows are featured: Hannibal, Twin Peaks, American Horror Story, Breaking Bad, Prison Break, The Sopranos, Californication, The Wire, Frasier, Oz, The Newsroom, Carnivale, Lost, Rome, Six Feet Under, Sons of Anarchy, Dexter, Friends and Mad Men. A lot of them feature the main character in some kind of scene that signifies their journey from the first shot of the series, whilst others are direct recreations of the first shot of the show – only again pretty much everything has changed.
Either way, a lot of thought has gone into ending these great series and seeing the first and last shots of each one really emphasises this, and will hopefully bring back some great memories too:
I loved watching all of those, even the ones I haven’t actually seen before. I think my favourite was the Mad Men juxtaposition with Don Draper with his face front to the screen finally accepting who he was rather than hiding his personality in the first shot of the show. The Californication, Lost and Breaking Bad ones are all nice throwbacks to their first episodes too. A fascinating watch.
