There’s no shortage of things to do as a child in Russia. You can play about on their death trap playgrounds, or you can take up binge drinking. Your choice. Having looked at this picture for a few minutes now I really can’t work out why they didn’t just cut it off at ground level? They’ve obviously had to chop a chunk out of the middle, so why not cut it at the base, remove it and sell it as scrap? I’m sure there’s a reason but I’m buggered if I can think what it is.
Here’s Joseph and Bertram having a lovely rest. At the end of a long cold winter in the vodka mines it’s nice to relax, have a bit of a chin wag and take the weight off your feet by balancing on a pointless tiny pole. Have a nice evening gents.
Actually, scrub that, I think it might be a Russian version of yoga where the object is to attain higher consciousness by being massively uncomfortable for hours… or is that just normal yoga? I forget.
