Avocados are the choice food item of the millennial and so it’s no surprise that a job with as absurd a title as ‘avocado taster’ has now emerged for the new generation.

In order to serve as an official avocado taster you will have to move to Surrey Hills in Sydney, Australia though and you’re actually not going to get paid, but it’s probably just enough to walk around with that title on your back isn’t it? The offer is coming from a new restaurant called Good Fat which is literally a restaurant that only serves avocados. So 2017.

If you’re successful in your application, then you’ll have to taste test all of Good Fat’s 20 avocado dishes which include the obvious (avocado on toast) to the ridiculous (the Avocornetto) as well as an avocado smoothie served in its own skin. You’ll also have to document your experiences on social media and preferably need two years experience in eating avocados. Easy right?

Instead of money, you’ll be paid in free vouchers for the shop, which sounds reasonable enough except for the fact that I don’t live in Australia. Sure it won’t be too long until someone is trying a similar scheme right here in England though – probably in Shoreditch – so get training now.
