Unbelievably, NASCAR is one of the biggest sports in America and thousands of people head out to watch it live every weekend in the southern states. I’m not even sure of the rules but it sure seems kind of boring to me.
In any case, I suppose one reason they all love heading out to see it is because there might be the possibility that they get to see awesome crashes like this, where even though it looks like there’s no possible way the driver might get out he still manages to walk away unscathed. This crash doesn’t look that impressive the first time you watch it but then when you see the replay you’ll be all like ‘wow, did that really just happen?’ because it almost defies the laws of physics, like some Days Of Thunder shit.
The driver’s name was Austin Dillon and this is what he had to say about the experience:
It was very vicious. It’s twisting you around in there, and the belts are loosening with each hit, so the hits are getting more and more violent. By the fourth hit, you’ve separated enough so that the fourth one is going to hurt more than others. I held on to the steering wheel as hard as I could. I’m sure I’m going to find more bumps and bruises during the week, but right now I feel all right.
Ooof. Rather them than me. Not quite as crazy as this drag racer exploding out of nowhere with the driver in it though.
