What’s been the most enjoyable movie you’ve worked on so far? 

I had the time of my life filming Ender’s Game, who wouldn’t want to fly around in zero gravity shooting lazer guns. On top of that, the cast and crew were amazing, we all got really close during filming.

You’re scheduled to start filming 10,000 Saints with Ethan Hawke soon. How excited are you about working with him and bringing the novel to the screen? 

Yes I’m filming Ten Thousand Saints at the moment in NYC. I’m having so much fun, Ethan is incredible too. I never realized how hilarious he was until the first day of shooting.

You’ve mentioned in the past that you’re a huge sci fi fan, what can you currently recommend within the genre?

If you haven’t already read it, The ‘Chaos Walking’ trilogy is phenomenal. They’re still my favourite series of books and I highly recommend them.

It’s also noted that you like making music and mashups, any plans to pursue this in the future? Will you be DJing at a Sick Chirpse party in the near future? 

Hahaa, I think if i wasn’t an actor, a DJ would be my second choice of profession. I think I’m gonna need some more practice before I do a set at anywhere notable.

What was it like to read that you totally outshone Harrison Ford in Ender’s Game? 

Hahaa, well I find it hard to believe, but any compliments are amazing to hear, especially ones so kind!

Tell us about Racing Blind and how that came about, and do you have any plans to pursue app design again in the future? How successful has Racing Blind been? 

Racing Blind is an iPad game me, my dad and my brother designed. The original concept we came up with on the set of The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, but as iPad’s didn’t exist we played it with pens and paper. A couple of years ago we thought about bringing it to the App store and it is there now! It’s the only game on the App store that you can play with your eyes closed.

Who’s the most famous person you’ve met so far that you’ve just been completely starstruck by? Is there anyone in Hollywood that you’re desperate to meet? 

Morgan Freeman was the first person I met who I was genuinely starstruck by.

Are you excited about working with Clive Owen in King Of The Kastle? Are you worried about doing comedy for the first time? 

I’m really excited, I’ve never done an adult comedy before so I don’t really know what to expect. But the script is great and I’m sure the film will be.

What’s your favourite food? 

Beans on toast, hands down.
