‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’ has been a staple of the Channel 4 yearly television schedule for at least half a decade now and has catapulted its host Ant Middleton from being a nobody to C list celebrity stardom, so it’s surprising to hear that Channel 4 are dropping him from the show after allegations about his personal conduct.

The announcement was made this morning when a statement was released saying the following:
Ant Middleton will not be taking part in future series of SAS: Who Dares Wins.
Following a number of discussions Channel 4 and Minnow Films have had with him in relation to his personal conduct it has become clear that our views and values are not aligned and we will not be working with him again.
Damn. This probably has something to do with the fact that last summer he tweeted about his disdain for both Black Lives Matter protesters and far right protesters, although there is the possibility that there’s some darker stuff going on here that hasn’t come to light yet.
Ant himself doesn’t seem particularly bothered about no longer continuing on the show, sticking up the following post on his Instagram account which seems to imply that he’s feeling good about the whole situation:
Sounds like he’s got some kind of annoying project in the pipeline where he takes some people on an expedition to Antarctica or through the Amazon or something. Sure some people out there can’t wait for that, but it’s a hard pass from me. Guy was a knob and a bully even before some of his ‘problematic personal conduct’. Just saying.
For more of the same, check out when he broke the record for swearing on a television programme when dealing with Katie Price. That part was actually pretty cool.
