The fallout from the Harvey Weinstein affair continues to cast its net far and wide over Hollywood and one of the people that it seems to have affected the most is none other than Ben Affleck.

Affleck is one of Weinstein’s closest collaborators having worked on projects with him for 20 years, but when all this news came out, he was keen to distance himself and eventually condemn his actions, posting the following message on his Twitter account:

Classy. Unfortunately for Ben though, there’s loads of videos of him acting pretty grossly towards women dotted around the internet. Yesterday, one of his touching Hilarie Burton’s boobs at the VMAs emerged and he was forced to tweet a short apology before the video conveniently got pulled down from YouTube:
I acted inappropriately toward Ms. Burton and I sincerely apologize

Real classy again Ben. It wasn’t even 24 hours before another creepy video emerged of Affleck with a Canadian television presenter back in 2004. He makes her sit on his lap and gropes her throughout the entire interview, whilst making jokes about her presenting the show topless and victims of cerebal palsy:

Wow. That really happened and was broadcast on television less than 15 years ago. What the hell was he thinking there? Was he on drugs or completely wasted or something? It’s literally so creepy and weird. Wonder what he’s gonna tweet about this one.
I suppose you might – MIGHT – be able to forgive Affleck for his actions as this was a long time ago and he appears to be a young hound dog and we all make mistakes yadda yadda. but that would probably only work on the proviso of if it looked like he had actually changed his ways now. When you consider he recently got ditched by his wife Jennifer Garner because he had an affair with the nanny not so long ago, it doesn’t seem like that’s the case.
Basically, a lot of men in Hollywood are scumbags who use their positions of power to treat women any way they want, which is usually badly. Hopefully, everyone bringing this into the public eye will change this attitude, but I feel like it’s going to be a long time until its fully eradicated.
For more Ben Affleck, check him out crying because everyone hated his Batman movie. Good.
