The Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial continues to rage on and the mood has changed slightly in the past couple of days as Amber Heard finally took to the stand and started describing the horrific acts that Depp allegedly inflicted upon her.

We had already heard the story about how Depp apparently looked for a bag of cocaine in Heard’s vagina during a drink and drug fuelled binge, but Heard herself described it yesterday on the stand and it was just as harrowing as you might expect. Here’s what she had to say about it (you probably need to watch the whole video for context, but about seven minutes in is when it starts):
We were on a group holiday at Hicksville Trailer Palace in Joshua Tree, California.
Johnny confronted me in a trailer.
It became clear he was looking for something.
He asked me where I was hiding it but I had no idea what he was talking about.
He started ‘patting me down’.
He rips my dress … he’s grabbing my breasts, he’s touching my thighs, he rips my underwear off.
He then proceeds to do a cavity search. He said he was looking for his drugs, his cocaine.
He shoved his fingers inside me and twisted them round trying to find the cocaine.
His actions made no sense and I didn’t know what to do.
I just stood there…staring at the stupid light.
Geez that is horrible isn’t it and it’s pretty gross seeing how distraught Heard becomes discussing it. I don’t really think she’s making all this up because it’s so detailed and specific and also kinda seems like a really difficult story to actually make up as it’s so bizarre and weird, but #AmberHeardIsALiar is trending on Twitter and a whole bunch of people are saying that she’s acting whilst on the stand and fabricating the whole of her testimony. Surely that can’t be something that she’s actually doing can it?
I don’t wanna call Amber Heard out on it but for what it’s worth if you watch a lot of her testimony it does seem a little rehearsed and unnatural and almost like she is acting, but in fairness it’s probably the biggest moment of her life so you can appreciate why she’s probably gone to those lengths to prepare for it. Unfortunately, she’s not as good at acting as she thinks she is and that doesn’t come across well and is only giving more fuel to the online haters, but again I just can’t believe that she’s making all this crap up because she literally had nothing to gain by saying it in the first place?
Sadly for her as well, Johnny Depp has proven way more likeable and charming when on the stand defending himself so even if she ends up winning the trial I can see the majority of the world hating her for the rest of her life. In fairness, it does sound like she was an absolute nightmare during their relationship as well, but that isn’t what this trial is about – it’s about whether Depp abused/hit her or not – but it seems like a lot of people are forgetting that. We’ll see what happens.
