The victim, who lives in Vista Creek Apartments, had repeatedly asked the Amazon worker when her package was arriving, according to the building owner Doug Smith. He said Ramirez told her it would come soon but then got annoyed by her constant questions.

Smith told  KTVU-TV:

I believe the Amazon driver said something about “your white privilege,” and my tenant said, “you don’t need to be a b***h about it”.

Ramirez faces two counts of elder abuse and battery involving serious injury and will be arraigned on Monday. She is being held on $100,000 (£70,000) bail.

Amazon said in a statement:

This does not reflect the high standards we have for drivers who deliver our packages.

We take these matters seriously and this individual is no longer delivering Amazon packages.

Ramirez claims she was acting in self-defence, which I’m not too sure is going to stand up in court given the video evidence. Especially the part where the 67-year-old lady is walking away and not being physically aggressive at all. Yeah OK the last thing you need when you’re stressed out and running late on schedule and bursting for a piss (probably) is an elderly Karen giving you grief over it, but that doesn’t mean you need to kick the shit out of her, does it? Prime example of when keeping it real goes wrong (shout out Dave Chappelle).
