Tennis World No. 3 Alexander Zverev lost the plot at the end of his doubles match at the Mexican Open last night. Zverev and partner Marcelo Melo were beaten by Lloyd Glasspool and Harri Heliovaara, and Zverev wasn’t happy with a point awarded which he swore had landed out of play. Here he is making his point to the crowd afterwards:

Now obviously tennis players abusing umpires isn’t anything new, but it’s usually just verbal abuse, not repeatedly smashing your racket against the umpire’s chair. Zverev was promptly kicked out of the singles tournament which he was poised to do well in, and could be facing a 6 month ban.
Zverev later apologised via Instagram:
Not a great look for the German tennis star, especially given he’s already under investigation for domestic abuse. Reckon he’s got an anger issue?
