Infamous YouTuber Vitaly seems to have turned paedophile hunter in recent months, recruiting random rappers and internet personalities to assist him as he goes on paedo patrol around Los Angeles.
This week, Vitaly and Akon managed to bait a man into meeting an ‘underage boy’ in the park, and instead confronted the man themselves and surprised him with a private rendition of the Akon classic ‘Locked Up’:

Akon then performed an encore of the track as police turned up to arrest the (alleged) paedophile:

The internet is understandably finding this all very hilarious, but if you think about it, it’s also pretty messed up that these predator-catcher videos have turned into pure entertainment for laughs on social media.
Of course, the primary concern for Vitaly and co isn’t to protect children and capture paedophiles, but rather to create a spectacle on camera and go viral for it to make ad revenue on X and elsewhere. Which I suppose is fair enough in this day and age, especially if the result is that these creeps are ultimately locked up and taken off the streets, and others watch these videos and are dissuaded from carrying out their paedo fantasies.
