There’s been a sharp drop in airport etiquette these last few years as people struggle to remember how to behave in airports post-pandemic, but it’s usually the passengers we see beating the sh1t out of each other, not the people working in the actual airports.
Well over at Atlanta Airport this week, an employee picked up a chair and started swinging at her colleagues and manager and pretty much every body following a falling out:
All this because she got fired and wanted to grab her belongings 💀 pic.twitter.com/kAfgQS0imK

Well that’s never nice to see. Apparently there was an argument with another colleague over espresso shots, which then escalated to what you see in the video and then the assailant, Shacoria Elly, being fired. Twitter seems to think she was fired before the fight but as you can see by the Community Note under the Tweet, it was the fight that resulted in her sacking, which is probably fair enough.
In any case, shout out to his hero for snatching the chair away from her so masterfully:
Although there was no stopping that Rey Mysterio-esque leap over the counter. Tremendous!
According to NDTV, Elly was “terminated from her position” and airport security confiscated her badge. No more duty free perks for her then.
