Chron’s is an absolutely horrible and debilitating disease, so much so that one desperate sufferer in Canada attempted to remedy his condition by shooting his mum’s poop up his own bum.

Incredibly, the DIY treatment seems to have worked. Charlie Curtis claims in the documentary ‘Designer S***‘ that he ‘found relief’ in using his mum’s poop to treat his disease, even though he says he began to experience her menopause symptoms too. WTF?

Charlie claims that during the FMT process (fecal microbiota transplants), he started experiencing sweating, hot flashes, and mood swings, similar to what his menopausal mother, Sky Curtis, was going through.

A pretty unbelievable claim, but in the end, Charlie says his symptoms vanished and he doesn’t need to take the medication he had previously relied on for so many years.

Charlie says: ‘It’s something I would do 100 times over in my life. When I was actually doing the procedure, I’d feel tingling inside of me. It felt healthy. It felt like it was working.’

Another weird aspect to this story is that Charles lives in Canada, so you would think he’d get free healthcare to deal with Chron’s disease instead of having to resort to firing his mum’s poop up his own butt.

Well, apparently, not everyone qualifies for the free treatment and so it seems Charles’ bum hole wasn’t deemed worthy enough. The Canadian healthcare system denied Charles the free poop he needed to beat his symptoms and so he took matters into his own hands (and bum) and used his mum’s poop instead.

It just goes to show that sometimes you have to do what you have to do, even if you’ve got no training, no medical degree, and no idea that you can contract menopause via poop (I think we’re going to have to take his word on that). In the end, it sounds like it was all worth it because Charles is now symptom-free. Long may it continue!
