Reporter Almost Dies By Getting Hit By A Baseball When Taking The Most Dangerous Selfie Ever

There are some times when you’ve just got to take a selfie, you know like when you’re going somewhere in a suit and take a picture of yourself in the mirror on the way out. It’s essential. So if you were a big baseball fan and you were a reporter and you were covering a big baseball game at Fenway Park (that’s where the Boston Red Sox play if you’re some kind of baseball noob) then it makes perfect sense that you might take a selfie of yourself hanging out in the famous ground. And that’s exactly what this reporter Kelly Nash decided to do as she milled around the stadium before the game whilst the Red Sox were doing batting practice.

Here’s the story in her own words:

‘I was taking a picture of myself in the seats above the Green Monster during Red Sox batting practice.

Producer Art Dryce had called out ‘heads up!’ a few times while I was taking pictures around the left field section, but none of those balls actually fell close to me, so I took my chances turning my back on batting practice for a picture.

My whole family is from Massachusetts, and I knew they would be so excited to see me working at Fenway Park, and when I went to text them the picture I noticed the baseball by my head!’

I don’t know how hard they hit baseballs over there but I’m assuming it’s pretty hard considering how far they go, so if it had actually hit her on the head people are saying she could have died, so it’s a pretty lucky escape. I think she might actually have died too and this isn’t like Alex Ferguson saying RVP might have died when that guy kicked the ball in his face either, it’s a legit story. Lucky.
