Meet Darren Williams, the one-man beat machine who incorporates old R&B, soul and shoegaze hits to create his unique sound. The Manchester resident has tried his hand at techno and emo styles of music, but now seems to have found his niche with Star Slinger. He is arguably one of the biggest innovators of 2011’s UK music scene as he creates new and exciting music with similarities to heavyweights like DJ Shadow and J. Dilla. By slowing down and chopping up sounds, he has produced chilled-out music to soothe your soul.
