A man who went on holiday with his wife and son unknowingly filmed a terrorist attack while zip-lining over Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam, Kashmir, northern India, last Tuesday (22 April).
Rishi Bhatt, from Gujarat, was loving life as he filmed himself zip-lining through the sky… completely oblivious to the horrors taking place beneath him:
Guy films himself going down a zip line during recent jihadist terror attack in India while people are actively being killed below him 👀
He seemingly has no idea despite the fact that you can see and hear AK fire in the background….#SituationalAwareness… pic.twitter.com/dUCmsQ4WEF

Fortunately for Rishi, he (and his family) survived the attack, although he’ll probably now become a meme that zip-lines inappropriately through tragic events going forward.
26 people died and 36 were injured in the massacre which India has accused Pakistan of backing, according to Sky News. Pakistan has denied any involvement in the attack, which has been claimed by The Resistance Front AKA the Kashmir Resistance, which is believed to stem from terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
Crazy still at 0:33:
A lot of people are wondering how the hell Rishi didn’t realise that a massacre was taking place below as he zip-lined through the air, but in fairness to him, the rollers running along the cable are quite loud. Add in the wind noise, his adrenaline, and the fact he never looked down once, and I guess it makes sense that he would be completely unaware of what was happening.
RIP to the victims and thoughts with their friends and famiies. According to Reuters, around 500 people have been detained for questioning after police searched houses and forests in Kashmir. Let’s hope they get to the bottom of it.
