Despite surviving the public vote on Friday’s eviction, ITV bosses decided to remove Mickey Rourke from the Big Brother house anyway after he behaved in an ‘offensive, threatening and aggressive’ manner towards Love Island hunk Chris Hughes.

Here’s the moment as it played out on TV – (video on the left):

Welp, just a bit of an overreaction there on Mickey Rourke’s part. All Chris Hughes did was look at him, and the 72-year-old menace completely flipped his lid.

Rourke may have actually survived this incident if he hadn’t already made ‘homophobic’ remarks to singer JoJo Siwa, fat-shamed comedian Donna Preston, made Patsy Palmer cry, and ‘molested’ the show’s host AJ Odudu, but I guess ITV had the draw the line somewhere before he really went overboard.

Earlier in the episode, Rourke also managed to make TOWIE star Ella Rae Wise cry after she asked him to ‘come with me’, and he replied: “Come in you?”. Um, good one Mickey.

And so, Mickey Rourke’s time in the Big Brother house is over and the star power of the series has dropped significantly, as will the viewership, I imagine.

He’s also going to have his £500,000 appearance fee slashed by ITV, but that may actually be worth going home early for. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
