You might remember that we went over to the launch of Dave’s Hot Chicken in London a couple of months ago and had an absolutely sick time and it doesn’t look like the hippest new fried chicken chain is showing any signs of stopping any time soon as they’ve just announced they’re dropping their first fashion line on Monday.
Do people really need a Dave’s Hot Chicken haute fashion brand in their lives? I’m kinda on the fence about it – it’s stupid, but it’s also kind of cool – although I am into some of these garms coming in from another ridiculous celebrity.
Yes, that’s right, the man behind Dave’s Hot Chicken’s fashion line is none other than David Beckham’s own tattooist Certified Letter Boy, who has also inked the likes of Central Cee, Rick Owens, Bugzy Malone and the late Liam Payne and has an 18 month waiting list with a starting price of £1000. That’s all well and good but I bet he’s regretting that moniker after the whole Kendrick Lamar thing huh? A Minorrrrr.
Anyway, the tags do look pretty fresh, combining Certified Letter Boy’s signature Grim Reaper with a flaming cauldron of Dave’s Hot Chicken. What’s even better though is that the line is extremely competitively priced – especially in this economy – with caps costing just £12.49, t-shirts setting you back £15.45 and a hoodie only £16.48.
However, there are only 250 of each item being made and you can only pick them up on Tuesday March 5th at the Dave’s Hot Chicken on Shaftesbury Avenue in Central London. The pop up store is open from 6:30pm but you do get a free Dave’s Hot Chicken meal with your purchase so it’s pretty much worth the trip. Gotta get there early though. Good luck.
For more of the same, check out this exploding PBR chicken burger in Philadelphia. Legendary.
