R&B legend Babyface has written hits for Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, and has also had a pretty stellar musical career of his own, so you would expect him to be shown a little more respect than he received from Associated Press reporters Krysta Fauria and Leslie Ambriz at the Grammys the other night.

Get a load of this absolute shambles of an interview:

Jesus, how rude and unprofessional was that? They ask the man a question, and then while he’s answering it, start calling out to flavour-of-the-month Chappell Roan so they can interview her instead, at which point Babyface takes a hint and awkwardly walks away.

The reporters have been getting ripped online ever since, with even Khloe Kardashian having a go at them:

One of the reporters, Krysta, has now issued an apology statement and explained there was a “lot of commotion” on the carpet which caused her to interrupt Babyface.

She explained: “I wanted to say that I’m really sorry about interrupting Babyface earlier. Chappell Roan had come up, and there was a lot of commotion as there is on these carpets.

“But I’m a big Babyface fan and as are we all, and so I just wanted to say that I really apologise.”

Yeah right, big fan I’m sure. Meanwhile, Babyface was probably relieved to get away from the interview early so I guess it’s not all bad news. Surely these girls will be given a break from the red carpet for a while after that performance?

Never forget:

For the time Michael B Jordan called out a red carpet reporter for calling him ‘corny’ in high school, click HERE. Reckon he’s gotten over it yet?
