Tough couple of weeks in the career and personal life of Marcus Rashford. First, he fell out of favour with new Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim and has been left out of the squad completely, and now he’s reportedly been dumped by girlfriend Grace Rosa Jackson as she prepares to appear on the new series of Love Island All Stars.
The two 25-year-olds had apparently been dating for a while, but apparently Rashford was putting as much effort into her as he was in his Manchester United training sessions (i.e. not much at all). So when the Love Island opportunity recently presented itself, Grace Rosa Jackson thought she may as well dump him.
A source told The Sun:
“Grace realised that Marcus wasn’t serious about her and has unfollowed him on Instagram.
“She realised there was no future so she has decided to cut ties.
“When the opportunity arose to take part in Love Island All Stars this winter Grace jumped at the chance, she is still young in her career and is keen to maximise the exposure to help with her modelling work and net campaign deals.
“If she finds love on the show that’s a bonus.
“As far as she is concerned it’s Marcus’ loss, she is putting her best foot forward and can’t wait to enjoy some winter sun in gloomy January.”
Damn. Imagine getting dropped both on and off the field in the same month? And during the Christmas period, no less! Rough times for Marcus Rashford. Especially as you would think that dating a Premier League footballer was every Love Islander’s dream. But I suppose Grace Rosa Jackson has no shortage of millionaire suitors, even without going on Love Island for the second time.
Oh well. Plenty more fish in the sea, Marcus. Although you’d hope he directs his focus on football rather than the next Love Island contestant he’s going to date, given his talent and the fact he should be in the prime years of his footballing career at the moment. Big January move to a rival club incoming? Or maybe he’ll turn up as a bombshell midway through the Love Island All Stars. Anything can happen.
