A man is accused of knocking out a 17-year-old girl in a pigsty and leaving her to be mauled to death by pigs, as a way of taking revenge on her dad after he had an argument with him.

Milena Shevelyova, 17, was found dead by her boyfriend in Ushkanka, Russia, on November 23.

Amazingly, police initially believed she had been set upon by aggressive pigs after going into the pigsty to feed them, but they then suspected her 40-year-old neighbour, Igor Zaika, was involved following a row.

Igor was arrested and charged with causing death by negligence and video, and even confessed to the crime in custody.  He told officers:

‘I opened the door and saw his daughter leaving. I hit her twice.

‘I hit her the first time, she [pushed me] away. I hit her the second time.

‘I hit her a second time, she fell over there.’

Apparently his initial plan was to set fire to the pigsty, but he was caught by surprise when Milena was already in there feeding the pigs. So he attacked the poor girl and left her knocked out on the floor instead. Here’s Igor explaining the incident to police in his own words:

Milena was found passed out with bite marks over her and paramedics then arrived at the scene and confirmed that she had died.

Investigators said in a statement:

‘During the investigation, investigators and forensic specialists, in cooperation with police officers, established that the girl’s death might be linked to a resident of the village of Ushkanka in the Uzhursky District, who lives nearby.

‘He allegedly inflicted bodily injuries on the girl, causing her to lose consciousness.

‘Currently, the suspect has been brought to the investigative department for further investigative actions.’

Seems like a pretty cut and dry case, seeing as he admitted it and all. Such tragically unfortunate timing for Milena to enter the pigsty alone when she did, just as Igor was about to set the place alight. I suppose there’s some relief in the fact that he didn’t torch the place anyway after knocking her out, but the outcome was horrific anyway. Of course, the reason Igor hasn’t been charged with murder is because there’s no way to prove that he meant for Milena to die, even though it’s all his fault it happened.

Jail really is too good for this scumbag, and I’m sure Milena’s dad and the rest of her family feel the same way. What the hell was the argument about anyway to send him into such a blind rage? How homicidally sensitive can a person be?

RIP Milena and all the best to her family as they deal with their tragic loss.
