Like the rest of us, IBF heavyweight boxing champion Daniel Dubois was sickened by the ‘fight’ between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson on Netflix last weekend, and apparently wants to teach the cocky Youtuber-turned-boxer a lesson.
In fact, immediately following the fight, Dubois sent Jake Paul a DM on Instagram offering to fight him. Jake Paul proceeded to leak the DM online, while also seemingly accepting the offer for a shot at the IBF heavyweight belt…
Man been boxing for 12 years, has over 100 fights between amateur and pro and fought on my undercard…hahaha
But fuck it…I’m going to have Nakisa talk to Frankie Warren and get you in line for the throne. Unlike Artur, at least you have a few thousand fans pic.twitter.com/J2CWIkYRZQ

Now on the one hand, it’s completely shameful and pathetic that Jake Paul could be offered an IBF world championship opportunity so early in his boxing journey, but on the other hand, who wouldn’t love to see Daniel Dubois – an actual heavyweight – KO Jake Paul and end this façade once and for all? I mean, Dubois would absolutely obliterate him within one round, surely.
Of course, Jake Paul knows this, which is why he appeared to accept the offer with a non-committal “get in line”. After all, he still has 15 fellow YouTubers, 10 former MMA fighters, and a 110-year-old great granddad he needs to fight first.
So will it actually happen? Probably not IMO. At least no time soon. But I totally understand why Dubois would be seeking this match-up. After all, what proper fighter wouldn’t want the opportunity earn millions by KO’ing Jake Paul? Even if it does make a complete mockery of the sport.
