Dave’s Hot Chicken might not be that well known yet in the UK, but that’s all set to change over the coming year with 60 branches set to open all over the country. It all kicks off with their launch event next Wednesday November 20th in London where they’ll be giving out hundreds of their famous sliders from a car park.

The event will be taking place opposite 5A Club Row, E1 6JX in Shoreditch (of course) at 5pm, but if you want to get your hands on the Drake, Usher and Samuel L. Jackson backed chicken then you might want to get there a bit earlier as hundreds of people are set to show up to get a taste of it – and once all those sliders are gone, they’re gone. Founders Arman Oganesyan and Chef Dave Kopushyan will both be attending the event and there are rumours that some of their celebrity fans might be in attendance too, so if the free chicken wasn’t enough to tempt you then there’s even more reason now.
If you haven’t heard of Dave’s Hot Chicken yet then the story is pretty inspirational. Formed by Dave, Arman and Tommy Rubenyan back in 2017, the three founders literally scraped together $900 to launch their chicken stall in a parking lot, along with folding tables and chairs.
The popularity of the brand soon took off with the first brick and mortar store being built in East Hollywood shortly after before Wetzel’s Pretzels co-founder and former CEO Bill Phelps struck a deal with them in 2019 to franchise the store all over America with Drake investing as well. There’s now over 1000 locations in the US and it looks like there will soon be a load in the UK too, so jump on the bandwagon now.
