Really disturbing moment from journalist Ellie Flynn’s new Channel 4 documentary ‘Magaluf Undercover: Predators and Parties’, where she pretends to be alone and completely wasted on a beach in Magaluf just to see how men in the vicinity react.
Ellie is obviously completely sober and has a team watching and filming from close-by, but just imagine what could have happened if they weren’t there. Watch below:
The idea behind the documentary is for Ellie to expose the ‘predatory underbelly’ of Magaluf and similar holiday hotspots, and I guess it’s mission accomplished on that front. I mean, we all knew already that there are scumbags like this roaming around and ready to take advantage of people – whether it’s robbing a drunk man in the street or sexually harassing/assaulting a drunk woman on the beach – but it’s still shocking to see it (almost) play out on camera like this.
Here’s hoping the documentary freaks out enough young women sufficiently so that they ensure they never end up drunk and alone, especially on a beach in another country.
Calvia, the municipality where Magaluf is situated, has the highest number of reported sex assaults per inhabitant in the whole of Spain. You have been warned.
