Very sad news this morning as former One Direction member Liam Payne has died age 31 following a fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Local news outlet La Nacion reported that Payne was found dead after falling from the hotel’s third floor, into the courtyard of the Casa Sur Hotel in the Palermo neighbourhood of the region’s capital.

Hopefully time will shed more light on what happened, but early reports from Argentina indicate that police were called to the hotel prior to his fall due to an “aggressive man” who may have been on drugs. Images from his hotel room would indicate the same thing…
It seems improper to speculate further about what actually prompted Liam Payne to fall from his hotel balcony, so we’ll just leave it there.
The man helped shape a whole new generation of music with bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, but aside from that, he had a solo career, a child, and so much more life left to live at 31. It’s a truly awful day for his friends and family, and the legions of One Direction fans worldwide.
RIP Liam Payne and we wish his family the best in handling this absolute tragedy.
