Now here’s a policy we can get behind – Sir Keir Starmer calling for the return of the ‘sausages’ from Gaza during his very first conference speech as Prime Minister.
During his speech in Liverpool, Starmer made a plea for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, but slipped up and then called for the “return of the sausages” before correcting himself and saying “hostages”:

I guess Starmer had sausages on the brain? Well, we’ve all been there. Obviously it was an innocent mistake and all, but if you think about it, it’s actually kind of reasonable? After all, neither side of the conflict in Gaza eats pork, so what possible use could they have for sausages in the Middle East? They should send them all over to us, so we can deal with them safely and hungrily. Only seems fair after all the aid we’ve sent over there.
Either way, the internet is having a field day with it…

I mean that was a bad slip up, but when he started going on about a two steak solution I’m pretty sure he was just hungry

Sounds like a Wurst-case scenario with the son of a tool maker in charge.

On the bright side, if this all that people are talking about following Starmer’s first conference speech as PM, then it can’t have been too bad. Onwards and upwards?
Earlier this month, Keir Starmer accidentally called Rishi Sunak ‘Prime Minister’ 5 times during PMQ’s. He does know he’s the Prime Minister, right?
