No matter what you make of Israel’s ongoing demolition of Palestine, any sensible person would agree that Jews should be able to walk around in peace like everyone else, whether they are in the vicinity of a pro-Palestine demonstration or not.
Unfortunately, this police officer in London seems to disagree, and incredibly, threatens to arrest this man for being ‘quite openly Jewish’ and thus ‘breaching the peace’ with his presence at a protest in the Aldwych area:
SHOCKING FOOTAGE
The Metropolitan Police of the UK approached a Jewish man who was walking near a pro Hxmas protest:
“You are quite openly Jewish. This is a pro-Palestinian march. I am not accusing you of anything, but I am worried about the reaction to your presence.”

Yikes. Not a great look for the Met Police in what admittedly is a very difficult and complex situation to manage. Effectively threatening to arrest this man for the unheard of crime of being visibly Jewish (well, I guess it wasn’t always unheard of). Although it’s important to remember that this police officer was just being stupid, and I doubt his superiors would approve of how he dealt with the situation and are probably fuming at him now that the footage is going viral.
If I had to defend the officer, I’d say he’s trying to keep everyone safe and make sure no harm comes to the Jewish man from the minority of pro-Palestine protesters who could potentially turn violent on anyone they deem to be the opposition (e.g. that gentleman at the end of the clip). Threatening to arrest him for not leaving though? When he hasn’t committed anything close to an offence? Very poor policing indeed.
Well anyway, I guess there’ll be some kind of apology about this and hopefully it doesn’t happen again.
For the pro-Palestine supporters who attacked a kebab shop because the owner refused to stop selling Coca Cola, click HERE. Too far?
