Gregg Wallace is getting absolutely slaughtered this week after his ‘Saturday Regime’ feature in the Daily Telegraph went viral, and since there only seems to be one social media user aggressively sticking up for him, people are convinced it’s Gregg Wallace’s burner account.
The main takeaways from Gregg Wallace’s Saturday routine were that he spends more time in the gym/playing computer games than with his autistic son, that he originally didn’t want his autistic son, had his autistic son as a favour to his wife, and is a ‘better father’ now that he spends 1.5 hours with his autistic son on Saturday. Oh, and he forces the gym to open half an hour early for him.
Lucky for Gregg Wallace, there’s one person on Twitter/X who has his back amid all the criticism and p1ss-taking, and it’s definitely not him behind a burner account. Meet @chrisbaldwin555, faceless X user with British flag in his bio and a lot of time to stick up for Gregg Wallace:
My favourite one though is @ChrisBaldwin555 responding to an old classic viral image of the time Gregg Wallace got upset with a guy asking him for help raising awareness for MacMillan Cancer Support, all because he spelt his name with one ‘g’ instead of two:
What kind of idiot asks random celebrities for retweets? I’m with Gregg 100%.

“I’m with Gregg 100%” – too funny.
Now it’s very possible this is just some Gregg Wallace superfan putting the work in to defend his favourite celebrity, but this is apparently so unlikely that there’s speculation that it’s Gregg Wallace’s burner account:
Guys I think I found Gregg’s burner account. The level of intellect in the replies definitely matches. pic.twitter.com/Q7u6iYsTkv

Given all the free time Gregg has on weekends, it wouldn’t be the most shocking thing in the world. In fact, the idea that @ChrisBaldwin555 is Gregg Wallace’s burner account is somehow not as sad as the idea that there’s a lone Gregg Wallace fan out there looking up his name and white-knighting him all over the internet. I guess we’ll never know for sure.
