Taylor Swift fans are absolutely furious after NSFW AI photos of the singer went viral, prompting conversations about the dangers of AI and what it means for fake news and online bullying in the future.

Among the AI-generated images are graphic photos of Taylor Swift having an orgy with the entire Kansas City Chiefs NFL team, getting groped and molested by fans in football stadiums, and performing sex acts on random people in the crowds.

Extremely worrying to see stuff like this especially given that AI is still in its relative infancy and will only become more realistic and accessible in the future. Can you imagine schoolkids being able to download an app that can quickly generate these types of images? School bullying will reach unprecedented extremes that will no doubt cause untold mental and psychological damage in young people.

There was a story in the UK this week about a 14-year-old schoolgirl in London who took her own life after boys at her school mocked up fake images of her. You have to wonder whether lawmakers need to step in and do something before this sort of technology improves and becomes more prevalent.

As of January 2024, MSNBC reports “there is no such crime that covers AI-generated nudes”. Can’t imagine this will remain the case for too much longer.
