Sean Strickland Vs Dricus Du Plessis goes down at UFC 297 this weekend, and what better way to hype it up than Strickland revealing on the Man Dance Podcast that he has texted Du Plessis to inform him that he will be stabbed if he ever mentions his childhood again:

Strickland grew up with a violent and abusive father, and recently broke down on Theo Von’s podcast while recalling some memories of his dad abusing his mum:

So how seriously should we taken Sean Strickland’s threat to stab Dricus Du Plessis? I honestly don’t think he’s joking at all. Especially after already assaulting Strickland in the crowd at the last UFC event:

Or just his random encounters with everyday civilians while he’s driving round in his car:

The guy is a certified lunatic who’s looking for a fight 24/7. I wouldn’t be surprised if he does something nuts in the Octagon this weekend, especially if things are tight in the final round and he goes into rage mode. Obviously he can’t bring any weapons into the Octagon, but he did also mention on the podcast that he was close to biting Du Plessis when they scrapped in the crowd at UFC 296:

Jesus. If I was Du Plessis I would take Strickland’s advice and not mention his childhood anymore, just to be on the safe side. And definitely don’t mention it in the cage mid-fight. Although we’ve still got the pre-fight press conference to get through before we worry about any of that…
Meanwhile, Tristan Tate will also need to watch his back after the comments he made about Sean Strickland’s emotional breakdown. Bold stuff.
