You would think a convicted prostitute would be the perfect candidate for teaching sex education in schools, but unfortunately the Godley, Texas school district does not think so, because they’ve just sacked escort Ashley Ketcherside after discovering her side gig.
According to Fox 4 Dallas, Ketcherside, who still had active online escort listings in October, was responsible for deciding age-appropriate material and “methods for human sexuality instruction” for the sex education department.
Not only that, she was also a member of a Family and Community Engagement Committee, a PTO group and the local athletic booster club. She was even appointed to a facility planning committee by the superintendent! A real pillar of the community!
It’s anyone’s guess how she managed to find herself in all these positions of influence, but parents were so suspicious of her that they did some detective work and eventually uncovered the truth with a LexisNexis search that revealed matching email addresses for an escort going by the name “Lola Brea.”
Furthermore, the parents found two past convictions for prostitution under Ketcherside’s record. Which makes you wonder how the school system didn’t pick up on this themselves when running background checks on its staff. Maybe they didn’t bother this time, or maybe they thought her experience would be invaluable to the position?
